Flavor and Manufacturing
The Classic Mint is made in France with quality ingredients. Presented in a 10ml dropper bottle, it ensures easy handling for your preparations. Ideal for vapers seeking a balance between intensity and lightness, this flavor recalls the freshness of the menthol classics of the past.
Warning:
This concentrate should not be vaped directly. It is designed to be diluted in a DIY base. You can add nicotine boosters if you wish, but never use it undiluted.
Dosage:
It is recommended to use about 10% of concentrated flavor in a 50/50 PG/VG base for optimal results. The dosage may slightly vary depending on the VG content of your base.
Two methods are possible to dose the flavors:
- By number of drops
- By percentage, i.e. in milliliters
Good to know:
1 ml of flavor corresponds to approximately 30 drops. For example, for a 10% dosage in a 10ml base, you need to add 1ml or 30 drops of flavor.
Steeping:
The recommended steeping time varies depending on the base composition:
- 70PG/30VG: 4 days
- 50PG/50VG: 4 days
- 100VG: 6 days
Features:
- Composition: Food-grade flavors
- Bottle: 10ml flexible bottle with tamper-proof ring, child safety, triangle for visually impaired, composition, expiration date, batch number
- Origin: Made in France
- Storage: Keep between 4°C and 16°C. This flavor is good for at least one year in its original packaging. Complies with regulation 1334/2008/EC.
Prepare your e-liquid:
Required ingredients:
- A ready-to-use base
- One or more concentrated flavors
- Optional: an additive (to adjust sweetness, acidity, or add a candy effect, etc.)
Required equipment:
- A syringe of 10 to 30 ml for the base
- A syringe of 1 ml for the flavors
- Plastic or glass bottles of 5 ml, 10 ml or 30 ml
- Latex gloves
- Protective glasses
Preparation steps:
- Wash your hands and set up on a clean work surface, away from children.
- Using a syringe or pipette, fill an empty bottle with the ready-to-use base (e.g. for 10ml e-liquid: pour 8ml of base, the remaining 2ml will be for the flavor and additive).
- If handling a nicotine base, wear gloves and protective glasses.
- Shake the flavor bottles before use.
- Add the recommended amount of flavor (refer to dosage recommendations).
- If necessary, add an additive.
- Shake the bottle vigorously for 10 to 20 seconds and let it rest to allow the flavors to develop.
- Wash your hands again and clean your materials and work area.
- Label your recipe to be able to reproduce or share it.
Steeping:
Steeping allows the flavors to fully diffuse into the e-liquid base. This process requires:
- A minimum of 15 days, or several weeks, for tobacco flavors.
- A minimum of 48 hours for other types of flavors.
To optimize the result, shake the bottle once the preparation is complete and shake daily. Keep in mind that the higher the VG percentage, the longer the steeping will need to be.
Tasting:
Once steeping is complete, your e-liquid is ready to be tasted. If the flavor is too weak, add a few drops of flavor and steep for at least 48 hours. If the flavor is too intense, dilute with a little more base.
- Over-dosed: Add more base to dilute
- Under-dosed: Add a few drops of flavor
Tips:
- Start by using a single flavor before making blends.
- Optional additives are potent; use with care (between 1% and 3% of the mixture).
- Label your creations with essential information (flavors, dosage, nicotine strength, date of creation).
- For new recipes, use 10ml bottles but with a smaller volume (5ml) for easy adjustments.
- Respect the steeping time well. To speed it up, you can add a drop of white vinegar or leave the bottle open for a few hours each day while moving it from time to time to aid in oxidation.
